Locally, our Women United Committee lends their impact to life by giving their time, talent and resources in support of to United Way’s mission. Together, they are expanding the reach of this movement and unlocking the philanthropic power of women and allies across our city.

See Your Impact in Action
After Savita’s son was born, life at home became unsafe and isolating. With no close connections in a new city and new country, she turned to her computer—her only lifeline—to reach out for help.
Over 200 Calgarians gathered at the first United She Can event. An inspiring evening of connection and celebration hosted by the Women United chapter of United Way of Calgary and Area.
The Women United LeadHERship Panel & Networking Event delivered an unforgettable evening of insight, connection and inspiration for more than 80 women leaders and allies.
On April 8, 2026, United Way of Calgary and Area’s Women United network celebrated one of these women by naming Dee Adekugbe as Calgary’s first Woman of Impact.
On Mother’s Day 2025, a group of Women United members came together to assemble 40 stunning bouquets for mothers and caregivers at Children’s Cottage Society.
