Learn how these local leaders are choosing to challenge our world for a more equitable future
On Monday, March 8, United Way of Calgary and Area hosted a virtual lunch-hour event titled after the 2021 International Women’s Day theme: Choose to Challenge.
Our own president and CEO, Karen Young, was joined by a panel of local change-makers, including Alice Lam, founder of Volly & Lead, and Calgary Community Fridge, LeeAnne Ireland, executive director at USAY, Rachel Wade, manager of global diversity & inclusion at Parkland Fuel, and founder of Including You Consulting, and Sarah Elder-Chamanara, founder, creative director, and owner of Madame Premier.
The conversation offered new perspectives on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the role of women and girls today, particularly as we work towards recovery. We hope you were able to join us, but if not click below to see a full recording of the event.
