Everyone belongs
on the pitch.

Show up, cheer loud and help build a city where everyone belongs.

United Way of Calgary and Area and Dentons are proud title sponsors of the Calgary Wild FC Pride Match.

By the numbers

We see the need.

Everyone deserves to feel like they belong, in their city, their workplace and on the field.

Yet for too many Calgarians, the barriers of exclusion and affordability can make participation harder to achieve.

Calgarians feel uncomfortable or out of place because of aspects of their identity.

parents with children not in sports say it’s due to affordability and access.

These challenges are deeply connected. When affordability puts sport out of reach, young people miss opportunities to build confidence and a sense of belonging. And when people don’t see themselves reflected in sports—welcomed or accepted—participating can feel out of reach too.

Sport has the power to change that. By removing barriers and creating inclusive spaces, we can help more young people feel confident, connected and supported: both on and off the field.

One lucky winner with take home:

  • A signed, game-worn Calgary Wild FC jersey
  • Two tickets to an upcoming Calgary Wild FC home match
  • Calgary Wild FC swag

More than a match. A partnership for community.

The Calgary Wild FC Pride Match is about more than 90 minutes on the pitch. It’s an opportunity for organizations that share a commitment to inclusion, belonging and community to come together and create meaningful local impact.

At United Way of Calgary and Area (United Way), we believe the strongest communities are built through partnership. By connecting businesses, community organizations and local initiatives, we help transform shared values into action—creating opportunities that strengthen our city and improve lives.

Together, Calgary Wild FC, Dentons and United Way are demonstrating what’s possible when sport, business and community work toward a common purpose.

Calgary Wild FC: Inspiring belonging through sport

Calgary Wild FC was founded to bring professional women’s soccer to Calgary while inspiring future generations through the power of sport. Their commitment to community makes them a natural partner in building a more inclusive Calgary.

Dentons: Turning values into action

Dentons is committed to fostering inclusive workplaces and communities through its focus on inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility. Through employee networks and efforts to strengthen practices, policies and a culture of belonging, they work to create an environment where everyone can thrive. Sponsoring the Calgary Wild FC Pride Match reflects that commitment and supports a community where every person feels welcome, respected and included.

United Way: Connecting partners to community impact

United Way of Calgary and Area brings together businesses, community organizations, governments and more than 150 local agencies to tackle our city’s most pressing social issues. We help organizations move beyond sponsorship by connecting them with meaningful opportunities that align with their values while creating measurable impact for the community.

Initiatives like The City of Calgary’s Sport Hub, is one example. Delivered alongside sport organizations, school boards, community partners and funders (including United Way and Jumpstart), youth can access high-quality sport experiences right in their own neighbourhoods regardless of financial barriers.

Why partnerships matter

No single organization can solve our community’s biggest challenges alone.

When businesses, community organizations and local leaders come together through United Way, they create opportunities that extend far beyond a single event. They strengthen neighbourhoods, expand access to programs, foster belonging and help build a Calgary where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

The Calgary Wild FC Pride Match is one example of how shared values can become shared impact, and how partnership creates lasting change for our community.
