A United Way of Calgary and Area Community Engagement Event

1 in 4 Alberta seniors do not feel like they belong in their local community.

Seniors in our community face significant challenges – including social isolation, financial instability, and heightened vulnerability to health issues. It’s crucial to understand the challenges older adults face, so we can better support them.

Learn about these challenges through this powerful and eye-opening learning event!

Join us virtually and participate in Make the Month, an interactive activity that will put you in the shoes of a senior citizen, Frances, navigating tough choices on a limited income. It’s an engaging way to build empathy, spark conversation, and explore how we can better support seniors in our community.

Registration Details: After registering for a free ticket, you will receive a calendar invite with the virtual link to the email you provided! Please note, participants will need their smart phone or other device to participate in this activity.

Elijah BeaverNovember Community Event – Make the Month

In the spirit of our journey to promote reconciliation, we would like to honour the truth of our shared history and acknowledge Treaty 7 territory and the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, that includes the Kainai, Siksika, and Piikani First Nations. We acknowledge the traditional lands of the Tsuut'ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda, including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations. We would also like to recognize the Métis people, and the Inuit people who have made their home here in Moh'kins'tsis, also known as Calgary.
