At Plane Pull, teams came together to move the impossible, joined by Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas and a community united by one purpose – a stronger Calgary. The wheels of the plane wouldn’t budge with one person alone on the rope, but with many hands it started rolling down the tarmac.
The same is true for the challenges facing Calgary and area.
Complex issues like affordability, food insecurity, financial instability and mental health can’t be solved by one person or organization. But when workplaces, community partners, donors and neighbours pull together—the pressure is taken off of one persons shoulders.
23 teams with over 300 participants rallied together and raised over $70,000 for our community, showing their united strength and support for Calgarians.
And the story travelled well beyond the tarmac. Plane Pull captured the attention of Global News bringing the event to a national audience.
