United Way of Calgary and Area (United Way) is proud to partner with Calgary Flames for their annual “Hockey Talks Mental Health” game this Thursday, February 6. Join us as we advance the dialogue around mental health and cheer on the Calgary Flames as they face off against the Colorado Avalanche.

The Mental Health Commission of Canada reports that 60% of people suffering from addiction or mental illness will not seek the help they need because of the stigma associated with these issues. United, we are building a Calgary where mental health matters. In 2023, more than 90,000 people and 45 local agencies received mental health support from United Way-funded programs. Events like “Hockey Talks Mental Health” help advance important conversations and drive social change for Calgarians and members of our surrounding area.
