Call 2-1-1 and access help today

211 is where to go for help – any kind of help.

Whether it’s food, shelter, mental health, or even help finding a job, United Way and its partners have worked together to create 211—a single point of contact for those who don’t know where to turn for help.

What is 211?

211 is a 24/7 referral service available in over 150 languages, assisting people who need information but don’t know who to contact. If you need financial, social, or mental health support, 211’s information and referral specialists can connect you with thousands of community, government, and social services.

This free and confidential service is made possible through a partnership between United Way, The City of Calgary, and Distress Centre Calgary.

When should I contact 211?

If you need food, were recently laid off, cannot pay your rent or utilities, or are new to the Calgary area and cannot find childcare or a doctor, reach out to 211 for help finding the right services. Visit http://www.ab.211.ca/ for more information.
