A United Way of Calgary and Area Community Engagement Event

Join us for an inspiring Day of Caring, and be part of a community-driven initiative where you can make a real difference.

For this Day of Caring, you’ll have the chance to learn about the impactful work being done by a partner agency, Between Friends, at their Camp Bonaventure they run during the summer months. Volunteers will get hands-on, helping with maintenance, landscaping and other outdoor tasks to support with the end of camp season.

Your efforts will directly support those in need and help create a positive change in the community!

Registration Information: If you are attending this Day of Caring from a workplace, due to capacity we ask that no more than 4 team members sign up for this activity. If there is additional space, we will reach out. After registering for a free ticket, you will receive a calendar invite to the email you provided that includes all Day of Caring details, including important parking and check-in details.

Between Friends provides quality social, recreation and development opportunities so that people with disabilities can connect, grow and belong. Camp Bonaventure is a fun outdoor summer day camp for youth ages 4-17 that runs in July and August.

In the spirit of our journey to promote reconciliation, we would like to honour the truth of our shared history and acknowledge Treaty 7 territory and the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, that includes the Kainai, Siksika, and Piikani First Nations. We acknowledge the traditional lands of the Tsuut'ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda, including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations. We would also like to recognize the Métis people, and the Inuit people who have made their home here in Moh'kins'tsis, also known as Calgary.
