The Sunalta Community Association has long been a gathering place for Calgarians, and now it’s home to something even bigger — a brand-new community hub that’s reimagining how inner-city neighbourhoods connect and thrive.

Community Hubs are inclusive spaces where residents build connections, access supports and services and work together to strengthen neighbourhoods. Developed through a partnership between United Way of Calgary and Area, The City of Calgary and the Rotary Club as founding investor, the Sunalta Community Hub is designed to enhance community spaces and create welcoming, inclusive places for residents. From coffee kiosks and rental venues to fully programmable rooms, every feature is meant to bring people together.

All income from the hub is reinvested directly back into Sunalta, helping fund barrier-free programs and initiatives that serve local residents. The association has already begun fundraising for its next expansion phase — a community kitchen that will strengthen food programming and further enrich the neighbourhood experience.
