Calgary is a city of prosperity and hope, but not for everyone. Behind every workplace campaign is a collective decision to make a difference. Because of that support, lives in Calgary are being changed in meaningful ways every day. Together, these efforts show what’s possible when we see the need in our community and unite to meet it. It shows what can happen when workplaces lead with heart. Their commitment goes far beyond their offices and hallways; it’s felt in the lives they’ve helped uplift, now and into the future.
United Way of Calgary and Area (United Way) had a chance to honour these partnerships at the Community Impact Awards: a night of celebration and connection. As part of the recognition, we sat down with five organizations who partner with United Way. We wanted to hear about what motivates them to align with United Way and invited them to share more about the power of their 2025 workplace campaigns and the impact on their overall organizational culture.
Across every conversation, one theme stood out: when workplaces come together around a shared purpose, real change follows.

Christine Brown, an investigative specialist with TD, shares how the partnership with United Way helped rally the workplace team and to witness first-hand the difference they are making in the community.
