Yesterday, we had the privilege of visiting our friends from the City of Calgary for their annual Bus Pull in support of United Way of Calgary and Area. City employees from a wide range of departments and organizations banded together to create 15 teams and assembled outstanding costumes to see who could pull a 40-foot, 13-ton bus across the finish line in record time.
The City of Calgary is one of the longest-standing relationships we have at United Way. For over 45 years, City of Calgary employees have been stepping up and raising money to create better tomorrows for everyone in our community raising over $13 million dollars in the process. But it’s not just about fundraising; we stand shoulder to shoulder with our friends at the City on a wide range of initiatives and supports, including our partnership on Community Hubs.
